The Sustainable Label #NMCNMM

In 2022, #NMCNMM was launched, a label for high-quality and sustainable clothing.

"Not My Circus. Not My Monkeys." - Meaning

The Polish saying "Nie mój cyrk, nie moje małpy" means
translated "Not my circus, not my monkeys" , but it is
difficult to find an English equivalent.

In short, it could be translated with the same meaning as "I mind my own business" or "It's none of my business" , but in a broader sense, it is usually used to emphasize the fact that one is not the one to judge someone else's actions, even if one does not necessarily agree with them.

As if the mess someone else got themselves into is not your mess to take care of, and the people involved in that mess are not the ones you can control.

The founding

Not MyCircus. Not My Monkeys. #NMCNMM was launched by me (Michael) in 2022. I was finally able to turn my long-held dream of having my own label into reality - and without any fuss, I just did it! The name of the brand is based on a Polish proverb and immediately struck a chord with me.

#NMCNMM

This is important to us!

What counts at #NMCNMM? It's clear: high-quality clothing that not only looks good, but is also produced sustainably, organically and fairly. When printing and finishing the clothes, we rely on careful handwork, because quality is our top priority. Incidentally, production takes place right around the corner in Hamburg-Eimsbüttel. Because we are not only committed to our customers, but also to the local economy and small businesses in the neighborhood.

#NMCNMM is growing

We already have a lot of fans in Hamburg and we are also well represented on social media . We are also particularly proud that you can admire our clothes from time to time on “Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten” on RTL. But that is not enough for us! In the future, we plan to be represented nationally in retail stores in order to give even more people the chance to see for themselves the quality and design of our clothes. That is why we are always looking for new sales channels and ways to improve and develop ourselves.
